Fairview Cemetery


Joyce Libby, 81, formerly of Fairview, OK, died peacefully in her home in Oklahoma City, OK on August 13, 2013. She was born June 23, 1932 in Fairview, OK to Wally and Nieta (Boehs) Wenger. She graduated from Fairview High School in 1949 at the age of 16. She retired from the U.S. Postal Service and operated Libby's Highway Cafe with her husband in Fairview from 1972 to 2003.

Joyce was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Jack Libby, and infant daughter Maria Michelle.

She is survived by her sister Judy Ewbank and husband Phil of Fairview, OK; son Thomas Libby of Wichita, KS; son Max Libby of Farmington, NM; daughter Tere' Bracco and husband Jeff of Fort Bragg, NC; daughter Valerie Roquemore and husband Ron of Oklahoma City, OK; 11 grandchildren, Tana Puckett, Tosha Libby, Taryn Libby, Taylor Libby, Claire Parnell, Elliot Parnell, Anthony Bracco, Santino Bracco, Maria Roquemore, James Roquemore and Rachel Roquemore;

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Sunday, August 18, 2013 at the Fairview Community Center with Reverend Danny Barnwell officiating. Interment will follow in Fairview Cemetery under the direction of Pierce Funeral Home, Fairview, OK. A viewing with family and friends will be held from noon to 8:00 p.m., Saturday, August 17, 2013 at Libby's Highway Cafe (Pierce Funeral Home), 721 S. Main in Fairview.

Memorials may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital with the funeral home serving as custodian at P.O. Box 15, Fairview, OK 73737.
