February 1, 1979 ~ March 26, 2025

Michelle June Leal was born on February 1, 1979 to Jack and Joyce Kelly at the Fairview Hospital and departed this earth on March 26, 2025 at her childhood home with family by her side. One might say "Earth became a little dimmer and heaven a little brighter" when Michelle gained her wings at the age of 46 years. Funeral Services for Michelle June Leal will be Monday, March 31, 2025 at 1:30 PM at the Central Christian Church, Fairview, Oklahoma, with burial following at the Fairview Cemetery. Arrangements are by Fairview Funeral Home Inc.

Visitation will be at the funeral home, Saturday, March 29th, from 9 am to 5 pm and Sunday, March 30th, from 1 pm to 6 pm with the family present Sunday from 4 to 6 pm.

Michelle grew up in Fairview and graduated from Fairview High School. Her childhood consisted of playing in the park, across the street from her home, with many neighborhood children. When asked where she got her pretty blues eyes, she would always say "My Dad bought them at TG&Y." She enjoyed playing the sport of basketball and was involved in other school activities as well. She was a member of the Fairview 4-H program and later the Fairview FFA program. While a member of those programs, she enjoyed showing and raising sheep. When her teenage years approached, she started working to make money for things she wanted as well as buying a vehicle. During her Junior and Senior years of High School, she attended classes at the Northwest Area Vo-tech school in Fairview. Later in life she attended Northern Oklahoma College and Northwestern Oklahoma State University in Enid, Ok.

On July 3,1999 she married Ruben Leal, Jr. They met and started dating while attending Vo-tech. On October 25, 2000 this union welcomed the birth of their son, Trevor Jack Leal. Having a child did not slow her down from working to help support the family. She was always willing to help her son and her family out as needed. She enjoyed cooking, shopping, and spending time with her family, her son, her fur babies, and later in life with her grandchildren. Michelle was head strong and independent. She enjoyed being around people. She loved spending time doing things with her special friend Melanie (Mel) Hale.

Michelle is survived by her parents, Jack and Joyce Kelly of Fairview; son Trevor Leal of Fairview; sisters Danita Peterson & husband Greg of Fairview; Amanda Villaneda and husband David of Blanchard, Ok. She is also survived by her niece Alisha Peterson of Gothenburg, NE; nephew David Villaneda, Jr of Blanchard, Ok; nieces Milla Villaneda and Rylee Villaneda both of Blanchard, Ok.; Makayla Mirich and grandchildren Brycen Leal and Aubrie Leal of Fairview; Shae Warner and grandson Hudson Leal and Greyson Bowman of Fairview. She is also survived by her ex-husband Ruben Leal Jr. of Moore, Ok and In-laws Ruben and Virginia Leal of Okeene, Ok.; as well as aunts, uncles and cousins.

She was preceded in death by both sets of grandparents Hulin and Pauline Kelly, and Eldon (Jack) Edingfield and Anna Edingfield; nephew Marcus Peterson and many aunts, uncles and cousins.

Michelle wanted to pass these two thoughts on to everyone, "Don't be sad for I have exchanged the Old Rugged Cross for my Crown" and "Do not be sad because I have gone on before you. I will be waiting for you."

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Michelle's Support Fund or Central Christian Church with Fairview Funeral Home Inc. acting as custodian.
