Fairview Cemetery


A Mass of Christian Burial for Clifford L. Lantz of Stillwater, OK, formerly of Fairview, will be held at 2:30 p.m., Saturday, August 2, 2014 at St. Ann's Catholic Church in Fairview with Father Jarek Topolewski officiating. Interment will follow in Fairview Cemetery under the direction of Pierce Funeral Home, Fairview. Viewing will be held at the funeral home on Friday from 9:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. and Saturday from 9:00 a.m., to 12:00 noon. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon on Saturday prior to the service.

Clifford was born on June 14, 1950 to Caspar and Magdalena (Dauenhauer) Lantz. He departed this life on Tuesday, July 29, 2014 at Stillwater, OK.

Clifford retired in 2010 after 41 years of service to the Burlington Northern and Santa Fe Railroad. In 1975 he married Glenda “Kay” Jones in which he adopted her three daughters and had one son. He married Ramona Wimer on September 26, 1998 at Enid, OK. He enjoyed spending time playing with his granchildren and making rubber band guns and wooden toys for the neighborhood kids. He was the family “fix-it” guy for bicycles and computers. Since retirement Clifford especially loved talking to his family, friends and railroaders on the phone.

Clifford was preceded in death by his parents.

Survivors include his wife Ramona Lantz of the home; daughter Shari Matli and husband Russell of Fairview, OK, daughter Becky Reames and husband Bret of Chester, OK, daughter Misty Wimer and husband Terry of Blanchard, OK, son Kris Lantz and wife Wendy of Fairfax, OK, step-son Jason Wimer and wife Rebekah of Marietta, GA; fourteen grandchildren, Chelsea Shimanek, Kyler Wimer, Lacey Roquemore, Clint Roquemore, Jessi Roquemore, Braden Reames, Caden Reames, Kileigh Wimer, Gage Wimer, Nolan Lantz, Neally Lantz, Bailey Wimer, Caitlin Wimer and Scarlett Wimer; two great-grandchildren, Saylor Shimanek and Izzabella Roquemore; brother Reggie Lantz and wife Mary Anne of Missoula , MT, brother Darrell Lantz and wife Judy of Puyallup, WA, brother Brian Lantz and wife Kathie of Milwaukee, OR, brother Tex “Kenneth” Lantz of Mott, ND, sister Naomi Gosney of Perkins, OK, sister Rose Oberlander and husband Bill of Mott, ND; brother George Lantz and wife Rosie of Dickinson, ND; sister Patty Thomas and husband James of Mott, ND; special friends the Buddy Boeckman family; mother-in-law Edna Parker of Fairview, OK.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the St Francis Xavier Catholic Church of Stillwater's Building Fund or the Fairview Fellowship Home with the funeral home serving as custodian at P.O. Box 15, Fairview, OK 73737.
