A memorial service for Leslie "Dean" Jantz, 49, of Fairview, will be 3 p.m. Saturday at Praise and Worship Center, Fairview. The Rev. Domingo Herrera will officiate. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery, Fairview. Arrange-ments are by Fairview Funeral Home Inc. Viewing will be 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. today and 9 a.m. to noon Wednesday at the funeral home.

He was born Dec. 31, 1956, in Enid, to Ben A. and Julia Marie Doaane Jantz, and died Monday, Dec. 11, 2006, in Fairview Fellowship Home.

He grew up in Goltry and graduated from Lahoma High School in 1976. He worked as a farm hand in the Goltry area. He married Peggy S. Marshall March 19, 1982, in Kingfisher. In 1987, he went to Nebraska to work in the oil field for six months. He returned to Enid. and worked as a farm hand and general laborer. He moved to Fairview Fellowship Home in Dec. 2005.

Surviving are one son, Mikeal Dean Jantz of Enid; one daughter, Mandy Jantz of Fairview; three brothers, Thomas and David Jantz, both of Goltry, and Robert Jantz of El Reno; and one sister, Fay McBroom of Lexington.

He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother.
