Funeral Service for Helen Fern Inman, 99, of Fairview, will be 1:30 PM, Thursday, January 26, 2023 at the First United Methodist Church in Fairview, Oklahoma. Burial will follow in the Fairview Cemetery. Arrangements are by the Fairview Funeral Home Inc..

Helen (Judd) Inman was born October 1, 1923 in Cleo Springs, OK at the home of her grandparents. She was the daughter of Art and Sadie (Bennett) Judd of the Media community, and passed away on January 19, 2023 in Fairview. She attended school through the 8th grade at Media School and graduated high school at Cheyenne Valley in 1940.

She married R.J. Inman May 31, 1940 and lived in Cheyenne Valley. Two daughters were born to this union, Marilyn Nadine in 1942 and Betty Arleen in 1946. Helen was a homemaker and also helped R.J. with the farming and ranching chores. R.J. and Helen farmed for 44 years and moved to Fairview in 1986. After the move to Fairview, they drove back and forth to the farm for 8 years taking care of the cattle and the farm. In May of 2016, R.J. and Helen celebrated their 76th wedding anniversary.

Helen became a member of the Cheyenne Valley Methodist Church in 1946 and is also affiliated with the First United Methodist Church in Fairview. She is a member of the Waynoka-Alva Eastern Star and received her 50-year pin. She was a volunteer at the Fairview Regional Medical Center for 18 years.

On August 3, 2012 she and R.J. moved to the Fairview Fellowship Home Village Apartments. It was a good move for them and they enjoyed meeting and visiting with other residents. R.J. passed away in October of 2016 and Helen continued living there.

She is survived by two daughters. Nadine Thomas, Fairview; Arleen Benson (Bill) Fairview; two grandsons; Brandon Benson, Edmond, OK and Derek Thomas, East Dundee, IL; three great-granddaughters, Morgandy (Benson) Ryon (Clay) Edmond, OK, Victoria Benson, Yukon, OK; and Kameron (Benson) Congdon (Spencer) Big Spring, Texas; and one great-great-grandson Nolan James Ryon, Edmond, OK.

She was preceded in death by husband R.J. Inman, parents, Art and Sadie Judd, and 2 brothers, Ray Judd and Roy Judd.

Memorials may be made to Cheyenne Valley United Methodist Church or Fairview First United Methodist Church with Fairview Funeral Home acting as custodian.
