Fairview Cemetery


The funeral for Tillie Pearl Schlarb Hood, 83, of Okeene, formerly of Fairview will be 3 p.m. Tuesday at the Elm Grove Assembly of God Church, Chester. The Rev. Orville White will officiate. Burial will be in the Fairview Cemetery. Arrangements are by Nichols Funeral Home, Fairview. Visitation will be 6-9 p.m. today at the funeral home.

She was born Sept. 6, 1924, in Mooreland to Charles Tillford and Letha Pearl Wolfe Schlarb and died Friday, Jan. 18, 2008, at her home.

She graduated from Seiling High School. She married Clide Hood Oct. 24, 1942, in Fairview. They made their home in Fairview, then moved to Pueblo, Colo. in 1952. She moved to Okeene in 1981.

Surviving are eight children, Doris Hamann, Leora Pearl Coles, Thomas “Bub” Hood, Clyde Hood, Kay Jaramillo, Glenda Weatherton, Debbie Hood and Virgie Hood; three sisters, Billie Baker, Lorene Hand, and Mary Lou Wheatly; two brothers, Glen Schlarb, and Jimmie Schlarb; 19 grandchildren; 31 great-grandchildren; and six great-great-grandchildren.

In addition to her husband, Clide, she was preceded in death by two children; one sister; and one brother.

Memorials may be made through the funeral home, P. O. Box 332, Fairview, Ok 73737 to the Kingfisher Hospital Building Fund.
