Funeral services for Myrtle Holladay, 88, of Fairview, Oklahoma will be at 11:00 a.m., Monday, June 30, 2014 at the Central Christian Church in Fairview, Oklahoma with Rev. Ronnie Hopkins officiating. Burial by Fairview Funeral Home Inc. will follow at Fairview Cemetery.

Myrtle was born to Claire and Jessie (Brooks) Martin, in Fairview, Oklahoma on July 26, 1925. Myrtle was a lifelong resident of Fairview until she passed away June 27, 2014. She grew up in Fairview and attended Fairview Public Schools graduating in 1943. After High School she trained as a bookkeeper. While working at the Royal Theater she met the love of her life, James (Jim) Holladay and they were married March 22, 1947. After they were married she worked at Jensen’s in Fairview for 17 years, T.H. Rogers Lumber for 25 years until her husband’s health failed. After James passed away in 1992 she took a little time off, and then went to work for the Central Christian Church until her death.

Myrtle is survived by her sister Elsie Pharis and many nieces and nephews.

Preceding her in death was her husband, Jim Holladay, her father, Claire, mother, Jessie, two brothers, Carroll and Emory Martin, and two sisters as infants Opel and Hazel, and sister Melva Hyer.

Memorial has been established with Fairview Central Christian Church, with the funeral home acting as custodian of the funds.
