Graveside Services for Paula Michelle (Kliewer) Horath, age 45, will be Wednesday, September 7, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. at the Fairview Cemetery, Fairview, OK. Arrangements are by Fairview Funeral Home, Inc.
Paula Michelle Horath was born February 19, 1966 in Oklahoma City, OK to Mary Jane and James D. (Jim) Kliewer and passed away September 3, 2011 at the Fairview Regional Medical Center after a battle with cancer.
Paula attended school at Fairview and graduated from Fairview High School in 1984. Paula married Doug Horath and together they had a son, Jessie Mitchell Horath. She also had two more sons, Dakota Dwayne Emmons and Donavon Gerald Horath. She worked for a short time at the Sonic drive-in when she was young and later at the Fairview Fellowship Home. Once her boys came along, she enjoyed spending her time as a homemaker.
Paula is survived by her sons Jessie Horath of Norman, OK and Dakota Emmons of Yukon, OK; one sister Vickie Yates and husband Terry of Purcell, OK; two brothers, Jimmy Gardenhire and wife Doris of Isabella, OK and Dwain Hammond and wife Tambra of Fairview, OK.; 4 nephews, Josh Gardenhire and wife Tara of Fairview, OK; Robby and wife Tanya and of Fayetteville, North Carolina; Nick Weems of Fairview, Ok and Paul Yates of Pauls Valley, OK; and 2 nieces; Brandie Whiteneck and husband Andrew of Alva, OK and April Shreve of Pauls Valley, OK.
Paula was preceded in death by her husband Doug Horath, and infant son Donovon Horath, her parents, Mary Jane Kliewer and Jim Kliewer, grandparents J.D. and Freda Stroud and Art and Josie Kliewer.
Memorials may be made to the OU Med Center and Children's Hospital with Fairview Funeral Home acting as custodian.
