Funeral services for Betty Colvard, 81, of Oakwood, OK, will be held at 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, September 2, 2015 at the Oakwood Auditorium at Oakwood, OK with Steve Driskill officiating. Interment will follow in Fairview Cemetery at Fairview, OK under the direction of Haigler-Pierce Funeral Home, Canton, OK.

Betty M. (Bond) Colvard was born on August 21, 1934 near Canton, OK to Lloyd Dale "Buck" and Pauline (Johnson) Bond. She departed this life on Sunday, August 30, 2015 at Norman, OK at the age of 81 years and 9 days.

Betty graduated high school at Seiling, OK. She loved being outside and working on the farm. She also enjoyed bowling and watching her kids and grandchildrens ball games. She also loved playing cards with her friends and neighbors.

Betty was preceded in death by her parents; husbands Raymond Tipton and Leroy Colvard; sons James Colvard and Terry Tipton; and one brother, Dick Bond.

Survivors include five children, daughter Teresa Willis and husband Paul of Norman, OK, son Tracy Tipton of Granbury, TX, son Michael Colvard of Longdale, OK, daughter Theresa Fraley and husband Ervin of Porum, OK and daughter Stacey Turner and husband Kevin of Minnesota; one brother, L.D. Bond and wife Vicki of Wichita, KS; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
