Graveside Services for Raymond Ernest Bouse, 81, will be 2:30 p.m., Tuesday, May 29, 2007 at the Fairview Cemetery in Fairview, Oklahoma. The Reverend Brenton Haworth will officiate. Arrangements are by Fairview Funeral Home, Inc.

Viewing will be at Fairview Funeral Home Inc., Monday, May 28 from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. and Tuesday from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. There will be no viewing at the cemetery.

Raymond Ernest Bouse was born March 17, 1926 in Chester, Oklahoma to William “Bill” and Bessie (Long) Bouse, and passed away Friday, May 25, 2007 at OU Presbyterian Hospital in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.

Raymond grew up in the Chester area and graduated from Seiling High School. He enlisted in the United States Army Infantry as a mechanic and served overseas during WWII. Raymond married Betty June Johnson on June 16, 1944 in Cleo Springs. After the wedding, the couple lived in Cleo Springs, and then moved west of Fairview. Raymond worked for the State of Oklahoma Department of Transportation and farmed on the side. In 1962, Raymond and Betty started a restaurant, “66” by the Phillips 66 Gas Station. In 1964, they opened “Betty’s Steakhouse” which they operated for a few years. Raymond and Betty ran the Fairview Sale Barn Diner from the early ‘80’s until 1998. Raymond retired from the state in 1988. They worked at the Fairview Senior Citizens Center for numerous years. Raymond performed all the required maintenance at the Center until his health made it impossible to continue.

Raymond was a member of the Orion Baptist Church. He liked to camp and fish and enjoyed tinkering and repairing small engines. He was a longtime member of the American Legion King Hagen Post 51 and belonged to the VFW.

He is survived by his wife Betty Bouse of Fairview; two daughters, Ramonda Long and husband Dennis of Sherwood, Arkansas, Virginia Moore and husband Dennis of Weatherford, Oklahoma; three brothers, James Bouse of Oklahoma City, Marvin Bouse and wife Sonia of Edmond, Joe Bouse and wife Vera of Harrah; one sister, Wanita Owens and husband Roy of Wichita, Kansas; four grandchildren, Randall and Jodi Long of Jacksonville, Arkansas, James and Christi Long of Sherwood, Arkansas, Denise and Allan Hale of Cushing, Dean Moore of Weatherford; six great-grandchildren, JT Long, Shelby Hale, Kendall Long, Emily Long, Marcus Long, and Tyler Hale. He was preceded in death by his parents; one son, Bobby Bouse; two brothers, Jake and Gene; two sisters, Naomi Nichols and Myrtle Strecker; and two great-grandchildren, Garrett Hale and Matthew Hale.

Memorial contributions may be made to the American Legion King Hagen Post 51 or to O.M.R.F.: Cancer Division with Fairview Funeral Home acting as custodian.

Graveside Services for Betty June Bouse, 83, will be 11:00 a.m., Saturday, August 21, 2010 at the Fairview Cemetery in Fairview, Oklahoma. The Reverend Ronnie Hopkins will officiate. Arrangements are by Fairview Funeral Home, Inc.

Betty June (Johnson) Bouse was born July 10, 1927 in Wandel, Oklahoma to Tom and Maggie (Rogers) Johnson, and passed away Wednesday, August 18, 2010 at Weatherford Regional Hospital in Weatherford, Oklahoma.

Betty married Raymond Bouse on June 16, 1945 in Fairview, Oklahoma. After the wedding, the couple lived in Cleo Springs, and then moved west of Fairview. Raymond worked for the State of Oklahoma Department of Transportation and farmed on the side. In 1962, Raymond and Betty started a restaurant, “66” by the Phillips 66 Gas Station. In 1964, they opened “Betty’s Steakhouse” which they operated for a few years. Raymond and Betty ran the Fairview Sale Barn Diner from the early ‘80’s until 1998. Betty worked at the Fairview Senior Citizens Center for numerous years. Raymond passed away May 25, 2007 and Betty moved to Weatherford to be closer to her daughter and remained there the rest of her life.

She is survived by two daughters, Ramonda Long and husband Dennis of Sherwood, Arkansas, Virginia Moore and husband Dennis of Weatherford, Oklahoma; four grandchildren, Randall and Jodi Long of Jacksonville, Arkansas, James and Christi Long of Sherwood, Arkansas, Denise and Allan Hale of Cushing, Dean Moore of Weatherford; six great-grandchildren, JT Long, Shelby Hale, Kendall Long, Emily Long, Marcus Long, and Tyler Hale; one sister, Beverly Johnson of Billings, Oklahoma.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband Raymond Bouse, one son, Bobby Bouse; and two great-grandchildren, Garrett Hale and Matthew Hale, one brother, George J. Johnson and one sister, Margaret Johnson.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Senior Citizens Center or OMRF Heart Division with Fairview Funeral Home acting as custodian
