Fairview Cemetery


The funeral service for Jean Belter Middleton, 89, of Fairview, OK will be held at 10:00 a.m., Monday, July 2, 2012 at the Church of Christ in Fairview with George Mayfield and Bob Riley officiating. Interment will follow in Fairview Cemetery under the direction of Pierce Funeral Home, Fairview, OK.

Jean was born February 2, 1923 at Gould, OK to Dewey Travis and Pearl Eva (Good) Thomason. She departed this life Thursday, June 28, 2012 at Oklahoma City, OK. Jean married Louis C. Belter, M.D. on December 14, 1955. She later married Jack Middleton on May 7, 1987. Jean worked as a licensed practical nurse and also as a certified lab technician. She was a member of the Church of Christ, the Fairview Garden Club, the World Organization of China Painters, the Red Carpet China Painters and the Heirloom China Painters. She opened the Paint N Gift Shop in Fairview in 1970.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husbands Louis C. Belter, M.D. and Jack Middleton; one son, Billy Billington; one brother, B.W. Thomason.

Survivors include three children, daughter Betty Warkentin of Fairview, OK, sons Michael Belter and wife Lisa of Hinton, OK and Larry Belter of Dallas, TX; grandsons Donnie C. Eck of Fairview, OK, Bobby Shobert of Bartlesville, OK, Joey Billington and wife Michelle of Newcastle, OK and Travis Billington and wife Starr of Chickasha, OK; two great-grandsons; five great-granddaughters; one great-great-grandson and one great-great-granddaughter; one brother, Eugene Cole and wife Katie of Reed, OK.

Memorials may be made to the Tipton Boys Home or O.M.R.F. with the funeral home serving as custodian at P.O. Box 15, Fairview, OK 73737.
