Ames Cemetery


Services for Mrs. Ned Wood, 43 years old, a resident of the Ames community, were conducted Thursday afternoon at the Antioch Church of Christ near Ames with J. W. Channell officiating. Burial was in Ames Cemetery.

Mrs. Wood died Tuesday, July 28, 1942 in an Enid hospital.

She had lived at Cordell, Taloga and Fairview before moving to Ames. She was a member of the Church of Christ.

Pallbearers were Thurman Kelly, Marvin Webb, Earl Leverton, Morris Sloan, Lester Dittmeyer, and Harry Rosengrant.

She is survived by her husband of the home, a daughter, Glenda Mae; a son, Harold Dean; her mother, Mrs. Nellie Haws of Burns Flat; two sisters, Mrs. Meryl Hill of Charley, Texas, and Mrs. C. C. Riggins of Dill City; and four brothers, L. G. Haws of Duncan, L. D. Haws of Los Angeles, California, and L. H. Haws of Wichita.

The Henninger Funeral Home cared for the body.
