The graveside service for Rex W. Suit, 79 year-old Ames resident, is 10:30AM Thursday, September 15, 2022 in the Ames Cemetery Chapel. A private family burial will precede the service. Pastor Kelly Cronhkite officiating. Services are under the direction of Henninger-Hinson Funeral Home.

Rex was born December 16, 1942 in Ames to Raymond and Daisey (Griffy) Suit and died Sunday, September 11, 2022 in his home surrounded by his family. He attended Ames schools and graduated from Ames High School with the class of 1960. He then attended trade school in Oklahoma City and was then drafted into the United States Army as a reserve Green Beret.

In 1972, Rex began Suit Salt-Water Disposal. He was still actively operating the business until his death. Rex is a long-time member of the Cowboy Church, where he served as an Elder for 20 years.

He enjoyed roping and rodeoing in his younger years.

Rex is survived by his daughter, Denna Jantzen of Ames and son, Darin Suit and wife, Shanda of Ames; four grandchildren, Derrick and Caila Jantzen; Wyatt Suit; Hazen Suit; Tripp Suit; great-grandson, Rylan Jantzen; sister, Joyce Smith and brother, Ronnie Suit. Also surviving are numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his parents and grandson, Baylin Bode.
