Ames Cemetery



A Celebration of Life for Rodney C. Stotts, age 60, of Ames, will be 10:00 am, Monday, August 7, 2023 at the Faith Center in Meno, Oklahoma with Reverend Vernon Lee officiating. Burial will follow in Ames Cemetery under the direction of Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home. The family will receive friends on Sunday, August 6th from 2:00 -4:00 pm at the funeral home.

Rodney was born October 10, 1962 in Kingfisher, Oklahoma to Carol and Mildred (Maly) Stotts, and passed away Wednesday, August 2, 2023 in Ames, Oklahoma. He graduated from Hennessey High School with the class of 1980 where he was active in football and FFA. He and his brothers enjoyed hunting and trapping animals around the Hennessey area. He married Kimberly Davidson on April 13, 1983 in Enid, and together they had three children. He was the owner/operator of Rodco Services for over 38 years. He enjoyed farming and watching his children and grandchildren's sports and other activities. He loved going to casinos and playing craps, as well as traveling the world with Kim.

Rodney is survived by his wife, Kim, of the home in Ames; two children, Heath Stotts and wife Shelby, of Enid; Alicia Stotts of Oklahoma City; three grandchildren; Decklan, Sloane and Sutton Stotts, all of Enid; two sisters, Beverly Barron of Tulsa; Becky Heath of Hennessey; three brothers, Randy Stotts of Lake Charles, LA; Robert Stotts, of Hennessey and Russell Stotts of Wichita, KS; aunt Carlleen Maly and uncle Joe Maly, of Hennessey; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and other family and many friends.

Rodney is preceded in death by his parents, Carol and Mildred Stotts, and a nephew, Christopher Thorpe.

Memorial contributions in Rodney's name may be made to St. Jude Childrens Research Hospital with Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home serving as custodian of the funds.
