Harvey Edward Maness

Graveside service for Harvey Edward Maness, 82 of Ames, will be Monday, September 19, 2022 at 10:00 am in Ames Cemetery, Ames, Oklahoma with Reverend Kelly Cronkhite officiating. Arrangements are by Anderson-Burris Funeral Home.

Harvey was born May 4, 1940 in Webb City, Oklahoma to Marshall and Lola Nulick Maness and died on September 15, 2022 in Enid.

His very early years were in Webb City. During WWII, the family moved to Arizona, then returned to Enid, where his father served at Vance Air Force Base in the Army Air Corp. Harvey attended Enid Public Schools, graduating from Enid High School in 1959. On December 24, 1965, he married Edna Faye Haycraft they had three sons, Terry Edward, Steven Lynn and Mark Harvey. Harvey worked many jobs through the years including, Bond Bakery, Central Machine and Tool and Holdings. He loved going to the pawn shops. Watching Chicago Cubs, wrestling, old westerns and listening to music were some of his favorite pastimes.

He was preceded in death by his son, Terry, parents, Marshall and Lola Maness; brother Cecil Maness and niece, Alissa.

Harvey is survived by sons, Steve and wife Tammy Maness, and Mark Maness; 6 grandchildren, one great grandchild; brother, Lynn Maness; sister, Rosemary Hamilton; other relatives and friends.
