Ames Cemetery


Funeral services for Clara Leslie Hern, 31, will be at 10:30 AM Tuesday at the Ames Church of Christ with brother John S. Sheffield officiating. Burial will be in the Ames Cemetery under the direction of Brown Funeral Home.

Miss Hern died of natural causes Saturday morning at her home.

She was born at Fairview and raised on a farm south of Ringwood where she lived her entire life. She attended the Enid Speech and Hearing Clinic and the Sulphur School for the Deaf.

Survivors include her mother, Helen Ruth Hern, Ringwood; three sisters, Irene (Mrs. Phil) Cottrill, Isabelle, Laura (Mrs. Ben) Titus, Ringwood, and Ernestine (Mrs. Marvin) Titus, Chester; three nieces; and six nephews.

Her father, Clarence L. Hern, died in 1972.
