The graveside service for Richard "Rick" Jace Gregory is 11:00 a.m. Saturday, June 2, 2018, in the Ames Cemetery, Chaplain Gary Miller officiating. Military honors will be provided by the Ames American Legion. Arrangements are under the direction of Henninger-Hinson Funeral Home.

Rick was born October 8, 1946, in Enid to John and Glenda (Downs) Gregory, and passed away May 10, 2018. After graduating from Ames High School, Rick enlisted in the U.S. Navy. He served and traveled in San Diego, CA., Pensacola, FL., Scotland, Germany, Switzerland, and on the USS Oxford off the coast of Viet Nam. After he was honorably discharged from the navy, he attended school at OSU and Northwestern Oklahoma State University. He received a degree in accounting from Northwestern. Rick worked for Failings, Bond Bakery, a courier service, and Oakwood Mall. He also farmed in the area.

Rick is survived by his parents Jim and Glenda Johnson of Ames; two sisters, LaJohna Stiff of Edmond and Janet Steele of Burleson, TX.; one brother Jimmy Dale and wife Arlene Johnson of Enid. He is also survived by three nieces and four nephews who absolutely adored and loved their "Uncle Rick." Also surviving are several cousins, family members and friends.

Rick was preceded in death by his father, John Gregory, and brother-in-law, Don Steele.

Rick was a wonderful and caring son, brother, uncle, and friend. He will forever be loved and missed.

Memorials may be made to Hospice Circle of Love with Henninger-Hinson acting as custodian of the fund.
