Ringwood-Memorial service for Wanda Lee Geis, 72, will be Friday, August 12, 2016 at 2:00 p.m. at Lanman Funeral Home Chapel in Okeene. www.lanmanmemorials.com

Wanda was born on October 26, 1943 in Hinton to Henry Killman and Rachel Golden Killman and passed from this life on August 6, 2016 at her daughter’s home in Mutual. Wanda married Glen Geis in Sayre on June 4, 1966. Wanda spent the majority of her life living in rural Ringwood. She enjoyed cooking, reading and her dogs, but most of all her greatest passion was caring for people, especially her grandchildren. This passion of caring for people also led her to a career of caring for the elderly, either as a CMA at nursing homes for many years or at the elderly individual’s home.

Wanda is preceded in death by her husband, Glen; her daughter, Glenda Bingham; her parents; her sister, Rosella Cross and her brother, Denny Joe Killman.

Wanda is survived by her daughter, Melody Geis of Mutual; three grandchildren, Lacey Vaughan of Norman, Timothy Vaughan of Mutual and Andrew Vaughan of Ft. Supply; five brothers, Lonnie Killman and wife, Carolyn, Donald Killman, Darryl Killman and wife, Wilma, Charlie Killman and wife, Tammeria and Danny Killman and wife, Carol.

The graveside service for Glen E. Geis, 74, of Ringwood, will be 2 p.m. Monday, Nov. 16, 2009, in Ames Cemetery. Arrange-ments are by Lanman Funeral Home Inc., Okeene. Pastor Jim Nance will officiate. Viewing will be 2-6 p.m. today and Sunday at the funeral home.

He was born July 18, 1935, in Deep Creek to Edd and Grethel Burkett Geis and died Thursday, Nov. 12, 2009, at Summit Living Center, Okeene. He was a graduate of Okeene High School and then entered the Army. He married Wanda Killman June 4, 1966. He lived most of his life in the Ringwood area. He was a member of Ames Baptist Church, then the Ridin 4 Him Cowboy Baptist Church. He was a heavy equipment operator in the oil fields and a certified fence builder. He also was a farmer and rancher, raising sheep. He was a member of National Dorset Society.

Surviving are his wife, Wanda, of Ringwood; one daughter, Melody Geis of Mutual; and three grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by one daughter, one son, one brother and three sisters.

Memorials may be made through the funeral home to Alzheimer’s Association.
