Lois Josephine Freeman Bussell

July 24, 1931 ~ September 16, 2020

Lois was born on July 24, 1931 to Ralph Freeman and Angie Hubble Freeman in Wheeler, Texas and passed from this life of September 16, 2020 at her home near Meno. Lois married J.P. Bussell in 1948 in Canadian, Texas. To this union three children were born: Elaine, Larry and Stephen. Lois called the panhandle of Texas home. They lived in Satanta, Kansas, then in Carthage, Texas. Lois worked in the school cafeteria when her children were in school in Satanta. They lived in Pampa, Texas, where Lois worked at J.C. Penney. In 1985 they moved to Ringwood, Oklahoma and Lois continued to work at J.C. Penney in Enid, Oklahoma. Lois loved to sew and read. She enjoyed her cats and especially loved all of her grandkids. She was a member of Ringwood United Methodist Church.

Those who preceded her in death include her husband, J.P. Bussell; three grandsons and her parents, Ralph and Angie Freeman.

Survivors include her daughter, Elaine Raines and husband, Eddie; sons, Larry Bussell and wife, Brenda and Stephen Bussell and wife, Bev; one brother, Roger Freeman and wife, Carol; numerous grandchildren; great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren; many other relatives and friends.

Service for Lois will be Monday, September 21, 2020 at 11:00 a.m. at Ringwood New Beginnings Wesleyan Fellowship. Burial will be at Ames Cemetery with arrangements by Lanman Funeral Home, Inc. of Helena. Viewing will be Sunday from 2:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. at the funeral home. www.lanmanmemorials.com Facebook: Lanman Funeral Home Inc.

Memorials may be given to Ringwood United Methodist Church Building Fund through the funeral home.
