Graveside services for Elnora M. Phillips of Ardmore were Sunday at 2:00 p.m. in the Simon Cemetery with Rev. Kenneth Shelton and Sister Parlee Russell officiating.

Born March 27, 1929, at Simon, the daughter of Con and Pearl Powell Nipp, she died February 4, 2000, at Mercy Health Love County. Mrs. Phillips had lived in Ardmore for the past 20 years, previously living in Wilson.  She was a homemaker and of the Pentecostal Holiness faith.

Survivors include two sons and daughter-in-law, Keith Phillips and Bobby & Mary Ann Phillips all of Ardmore; a daughter and son-in-law, Elaine & Sam Owens of Ardmore; six sisters, Parlee Russell and Oleta Self of Leon, Lorene Montgomery of Marietta, Nadine Goode of Wilson, Carolyn Westmoreland of Ardmore, and Linda Williams of Rubottom; and seven brothers, Clyde, John and Curtiss Nipp of Overbrook; Conver, Gene and Donald Nipp of Wilson; and Charles Nipp of Decatur, Nebraska; seven grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

Mrs. Phillips was preceded in death by a brother, Claud Nipp in 1990; and two sisters, Dorleen Nipp in 1936 and Meady Mae Vernon in 1999.

Pallbearers were David Vernon, Dale Vernon, Dean Vernon, Bill Russell, Joe Russell and Kenneth Westmoreland.  Honorary pallbearers were brothers and nephews. 

Services were under the direction of Kennedy Funeral Home.
