Services for Mollie L. Blankenship of Rubottom were Wednesday at 10:00 a.m. in the Rubottom Baptist Church.  Officiating was Rev. Charles McConnell.
 
Mrs. Blankenship was born February 10, 1909, at Healdton and died April 26, 1999, in Mercy Health Love County, Marietta, at the age of 90.  She was the daughter of Sam and Mary Bell Nix Taliaferro.
Mrs. Blankenship, a resident of Rubottom most of her life, married S.A. "Bill" Blankenship, Sr. on December 25, 1926, at Rubottom.  She was a homemaker and also retired from the Marietta Bakery.  Mrs. Blankenship was a member of the Rubottom Baptist Church.

She is survived by three sons and daughters-in-law, Billy Ray and Martha Blankenship and Earl Wayne Blankenship of Rubottom, and Sam, Jr. and Ann Blankenship of Ardmore; three daughters and sons-in-law, Patsy Thompson and Shirley and Toney Hearell of Rubottom, and Peggy and Charles McConnell of Corinth, TX; 12 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren and eight great-great-grandchildren.

Mrs. Blankenship was preceded in death by her husband on June 8, 1994; two brothers, J.B. Taliaferro and Dillard Taliaferro; two sisters, Minnie Bone and Burma Hartman; and three grandchildren, Dennis Blankenship, Darrell Blankenship and Mary Elizabeth Thompson.

Interment was in the Rubottom Cemetery under the direction of Kennedy Funeral Home.  Grandsons served as casket bearers.
