Services for Marcena J. Wagner, 64, of Marietta, will be held at 10:30 a.m. today (Friday), January 25, at Eastside Baptist Church, Marietta, with the Rev. Ronnie Harris officiating.

Mrs. Wagner was born July 24, 1937, at Atlee, the daughter of John W. and Louise Brockriede Allen. She died Tuesday, January 22, 2002, in the Denton Regional Medical Center, Denton, Texas.

A 1955 graduate of Marietta High School, Mrs. Wagner made her home in Ohio for several years, returning to Marietta in 1963 to make her home. She and Clarence Wagner were married December 18, 1957, at Eastside Baptist Church in Marietta. Mrs. Wagner had been employed as a bookkeeper at Murray Biscuit Company in Marietta for the past 38 years. She was also involved in the Relay For Life Cancer Drive in Love County. As an active member of the Eastside Baptist Church, Mrs. Wagner also served as treasurer for the Sunday School Department.

Survivors include her husband, Clarence Wagner of the home; one daughter and son-in-law, Melissa and Rod Shankles of Marietta; two brothers, Wilton Allen of Marietta, and Paul Allen of Coahoma, Texas; one sister, Vida Robertson of Marietta; two nephews and four nieces.

Mrs. Wagner was preceded in death by her parents; and a brother, Billy Joe Allen in 1962.

Pallbearers will be Jeff Willis, Gene Rhoades, G.W. Flanagan, Bill Lard, Bud Christian, Melvin Mayes and Steve Creecy.

Interment will be in the Lakeview Cemetery, Marietta, under the direction of Flanagan-Watts Funeral Home, Marietta.

The family has requested that memorial contributions be made to the Eastside Baptist Church, 107 NE 6th, Marietta, OK 73448.
