Services for Calvin Wolfe were Tuesday at 2:00 p.m. in the Eastside Baptist Church of Marietta. Officiating was Rev. Tim Emmons.
Mr. Wolfe was born February 29, 1928, at Powell, the son of Ealias Ellis and Myrtle Calhoun Wolfe, and died February 25, 1995, in an Ardmore hospital at the age of 66.
A resident of Love County most of his life, he retired from Weber Aircraft after 19 years. Mr. Wolfe served in the Army during World War II and was of the Baptist belief. He married Betty Romines May 7, 1948, in Love County.
He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Betty Wolfe of the home; four sons and daughters-in-law, Calvin L. Jr. and Linda Wolfe of Lone Grove, Larry and Vera Wolfe of Leon, David and Rhonda Wolfe of Marietta, and Michael and Kim Wolfe of Grapevine, Texas; three daughters and sons-in-law, Marilyn and Lynn Neal of Nettleton, Mississippi, Becky and Lucio Gomez of Ardmore and Kim Wolfe of Marietta; 16 granddaughters, seven grandsons, one great-granddaughter and two great-grandsons.
Burial was in Lakeview Cemetery under the direction of the Anderson-Kennedy Funeral Home. Serving as pallbearers were Adolfo Ramon, David Ray Wolfe, Shane Wolfe and Kevin Wolfe. Honorary bearers were Billy Graham, R.B. Romines, Leroy Romines, Jerry Morgan and Cecil Williams.
