Services for Minnie Tapp, 96, were conducted at the Rubottom Baptist Church Saturday at 2:00 p.m. Officiating was Rev. Tim Emmons, minister of the Eastside Baptist Church.
Born July 20, 1899, in Wise County, Texas, Mrs. Tapp died April 13, 1995, in the Lake Country Manor Nursing Home, Marietta. She was the daughter of Norman and Jessie Horton Wilson.
Mrs. Tapp had lived most of her life in Rubottom, moving to Marietta in 1981. She was a housewife and member of the Eastside Baptist Church, formerly a member of Rubottom Baptist Church. She married Shelby M. Tapp October 8, 1913, at Orr.
She is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, Glenn and Essie Tapp of Wilson; two daughters and sons-in-law, Almetia and Dennis Prince of Hominy and Elena and Clifford Harris of Marietta; a brother, David Wilson of Arizona; a sister, Dorothy Sellars of Salem, New Mexico; 12 grandchildren, 29 great-grandchildren and 26 great-great-grandchildren.
Mrs. Tapp was preceded in death by her husband on July 6, 1980; a brother, a sister, two grandsons and two great-grand-sons.
Arrangements were under the direction of the Anderson-Kennedy Funeral Home with interment in the Leon Cemetery. Grandsons served as casket bearers.
