Memorial services for Philip Anthony Schieber, 38, of Dallas, were held at 7 p.m., Monday, October 23, at the Schieber residence in Dallas and at 7 p.m., Thursday, October 26, at the Love Funeral Home in Ottawa, Ohio.
Mr. Schieber was born March 6, 1962, in Lima, Ohio, the son of Paul and Judith Tobe Schieber. He died Thursday, October 19, 2000, at his "weekend get-away" near Marietta.
He had maintained a weekend residence in Love County for the past two years. Mr. Schieber graduated cum laude from Findlay College with a bachelor's degree in Computer Systems Analysis. He was the vice president/chief financial officer of the Berry Brown Advertising Agency in the Dallas area. Mr. Schieber was a member of the American Angus Association, the American Quarter Horse Association and the American Thoroughbred Association. He enjoyed raising and racing thoroughbreds.
Survivors include his father, Paul Schieber of Leipsic, Ohio; grandmothers, Wilma Tobe and Theresa Schieber; three brothers, Thomas, Michael and Matthew; and four sisters, Laura, Susan, Lisa and Marilyn.
Mr. Schieber was preceded in death by his mother, Judith Schieber.
Arrangements were under the direction of Flanagan-Watts Funeral Home.
Memorials may be made to the American Diabetes Association c/o Flanagan-Watts Funeral Home.
