Services for Martha M. Holloway Sides, 77, of Marietta, were held at 10 a.m., Saturday, August 9, in the Alexander Funeral Home Chapel, Wilson, with the Rev. Jim Gillum officiating.
Mrs. Sides was born December 3, 1925, south of Wilson, the daughter of Robert Henry and Charlie Mae Moon Holloway. She died Wednesday, August 6, 2003, in Mercy Memorial Health Center, Ardmore.
Born and raised south of Wilson, Mrs. Sides graduated from Wilson High School in 1946. She and Leroy Sides were married in December 1951, in Wilson, and due to his employ-ment they lived in Wilson and Healdton, and then moved to Tecumseh and Shawnee. After his retirement they returned to the local area, living in Marietta since 1986. He preceded her in death March 3, 1989.
Survivors include a son and daughter-in-law, Terry and Shirley Sides of Oklahoma City; two sisters, Elvia Bishop of Wilson and A.B. Perkins of Cleburne, Texas; two brothers, Jack Holloway of Waller, Texas and Lealon Holloway of Enid; two grandsons, Tommy and Randy Sides; and four great-grand-children.
Mrs. Sides was also preceded in death by her father on September 29, 1950; her mother on March 1, 1962; two brothers, Robert "Jr." Holloway and R.D. Holloway; five sisters, Alice Scoggins, Idella Davis, Maggie Loard, Robbie Maxwell and Lucille Lowry; and 12 half-brothers and sisters.
Pallbearers were her nephews, Bill Holloway, Troy Loard, Steve Bishop and Paul Perkins.
Interment was in Hewitt Cemetery, Wilson, under the direction of Alexander Funeral Home, Wilson.
