Services for Michael William Russell, 43, of Gainesville, Texas, were held at 2 p.m., Monday, August 19, in the George J. Carroll & Son Funeral Home Chapel in Gainesville, with the Rev. Garry Way, pastor of Fair Avenue Baptist Church, officiating.
Mr. Russell was born November 24, 1958, in Gainesville, the son of Allen Russell and Jeanie King.He died Wednesday, August 14, 2002, at his residence in Gainesville.
A 1977 graduate of Roswell High School in Roswell, New Mexico, Mr. Russell worked as a baker all of his adult life.He was a former resident of Arlington and Sherman, Texas.
Survivors include a brother, Thomas Reed of Fort Worth, Texas; three sisters, Judy Reed of Gainesville, Vickie Renick of Marietta and Theresa Biggs of Gainesville; a number of other siblings, Janie Russell of Oklahoma, Barbara Harris of Burneyville, Nelda Wood of Kalasknine, Oregon, Ray Russell of Thackerville, Larry Russell of Claremore, Allen Russell of Marietta, and Johnnie Raulston of Jones; and numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.
Mr. Russell was preceded in death by his parents; and two brothers, Jimmy McGuairt and Teddy Russell.
Interment was in the New Hope Cemetery, on Saturday, August 17, under the direction of George J. Carroll & Son Funeral Home, Gainesville.
