Services for Gena Pearson, 98, were Thursday at 10:00 a.m. in the Chapel of the Anderson-Kennedy Funeral Home with Bro. Murray McMurray officiating.

Born November 23, 1896, at Marysville, Texas, Mrs. Pearson died April 11, 1995, in Lake Country Manor Nursing Home, Marietta. She was the daughter of John Andrew Jackson and Angie Naoma Warner Moon.

A resident of Thackerville for 67 years, Mrs. Pearson was a homemaker and a member of the Thackerville Church of Christ. She married Herbert Lee Pearson on May 20, 1913, at Marysville.

Survivors include a son, William "Bill" Pearson of Gainesville, Texas; a daughter, Ruth Morgan of Burneyville; eight grandchildren, 23 great-grandchildren, two step great-grand-children and six great-great-grandchildren.

Mrs. Pearson was preceded in death by her husband on September 12, 1980; and two sons, H.L. Pearson, Jr. and J.T. Pearson.

Interment was in Lakeview Cemetery under the direction of the Anderson-Kennedy Funeral Home. Grandsons served as casket bearers.
