Graveside services for Willena J. Murphey of Plano, Texas, were at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday in Lakeview Cemetery with Rev. Tommy Higle officiating.

Mrs. Murphey was born January 25, 1912, at Crowley, Texas, the daughter of William Washington and Mamie Jo Brawner Cline, and died May 3, 1999, in Hilltop Haven Nursing Home of Gunter, Texas.

Mrs. Murphey had lived in Gunter since 1998, previously living in Dallas, Texas, since 1991 and Sherman, Texas, for 40 years. She married Glenn L. Murphey on December 11, 1934, at Madill. Mrs. Murphey was a homemaker and a member of the First United Methodist Church of Dallas.

Survivors include a daughter, Joy Murphey of the home; and a sister, Willie Florine Burkett of Pearland, Texas.

Mrs. Murphey was preceded in death by her husband on September 2, 1996; a brother, Charles Cline; and a sister, Wanda Robertson.

Services were directed by Kennedy Funeral Home.
