Norva Jean McDaniel

Services for Norva Jean McDaniel, 82, of Rubottom, were held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, March 12, at Rubottom Baptist Church, with the Rev. Jack Pryor and the Rev. Mike Williams officiating.
Mrs. McDaniel was born March 4, 1920, in Batson, the daughter of Simon and Alida Boswell Hartman. She died Sunday, March 10, 2002, in Mercy Memorial Health Center, Ardmore.
A homemaker, Mrs. McDaniel had been a resident of the Rubottom area most of her life. She and Carl C. McDaniel were married in Marietta in 1937, and he preceded her in death on February 6, 1991. Mrs. Daniel was a very faithful member of the Rubottom Baptist Church.
Survivors include two daughters and sons-in-law, Sondra and Harold White of Marietta, and Barbara and Jim Tolbert of Wilson; a brother, Herb Hartman of Leon; two grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Mrs. McDaniel was also preceded in death by her parents; two sisters, Elsie Taliaferro and Wilma Horne; and three brothers, Bill Hartman, Sam Hartman and Brug Hartman.
Pallbearers were Jimmy May, Danny May, Randy May, Paul Hallum, Lance Parker and Dale Lyons. Honorary pallbearers were Jerry Hawkins, Dale Richardson, Bill Gipson, Jack Holland and Mike Parker.
Interment was in the Leon Cemetery, under the direction of Flanagan-Watts Funeral Home, Marietta.
