No service is planned for Joe Randall McCage, 60, of Denton, Texas.

Mr. McCage was born January 12, 1943, in Thackerville, the son of Burton and Ruby Jo Northcutt McCage. He died Friday, February 14, 2003, at Denton Regional Medical Center.

He was employed as an automobile mechanic and also as the manager of an auto body shop. Mr. McCage had attended an automotive technical school.

Survivors include his wife, Edith McCage of Denton; five children, Joey McCage, Melissa Callahan, Patrick McCage, Chris McCage and Curt McCage; six step-children, Teresa Heckler, Dee Fowler, Connie Fletcher, Johnny Fraley, Judy Fuller and Novie Wagner; eight grandchildren; 12 step-grand-children; four brothers, Donald McCage, Charles "Shorty" McCage, David McCage and Jim McCage; two sisters, Betty Barnes and Pam Pearman; mother-in-law, Rosie Thompson; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Mr. McCage was preceded in death by his parents.

Arrangements were under the direction of George J. Carroll & Son Funeral Home, Gainesville, Texas.
