Graveside services for India Pratt McIver, 70, of Marietta, were held at 2 p.m.
Monday, January 21, in the Keel Cemetery in rural Marshall County, with Bro.
Cole Tidwell officiating.
Mrs. McIver was born August 16, 1931, near Lebanon, the daughter of Henry and
Hattie Goodwin Pratt. She died Thursday, January 17, 2002, in Mercy Health Love
County, Marietta.
Mrs. McIver had been a resident of Love County most of her life. She and Jack
McIver were married November 1, 1958, in Madill. Mrs. McIver worked as a
secretary in the banking industry and the legal profession until the birth of
their first children. When their younger children were seven years old, she
returned to the work force, working with her husband in the land title
business. The couple owned the Love County Abstract Company in Marietta until
their retirement. Mrs. McIver was a member of the Lebanon Church of Christ.
Survivors include her mother, Hattie Pratt of Lebanon; husband, Jack McIver of
the home; two sons and daughters-in-law, David and Ann McIver of Indianapolis,
Indiana, and Roger and Liz McIver of Durant; three daughters and sons-in-law,
Laura and David Bennett of Grand Junction, Colorado, Vanessa McIver of St.
Louis, Missouri, and Ann McIver of Marietta; and two grandchildren, Stefan and
Kevin.
Mrs. McIver was preceded in death by her father, Henry Pratt, in 1986.
Honorary pallbearers were Sam Goodwin, John Cobb, Ronald Jacobs, Brent Goodwin,
Frank Potts and Charles Coffey.
Services were under the direction of Flanagan-Watts Funeral Home, Marietta.
