Services for Jessie Leona Beavers Lee, 94, of Thackerville, were held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, October 10, in Clement-Keel Chapel in Gainesville, Texas, with the Rev. Casey Campbell and the Rev. David Whittington officiating.

Mrs. Lee was born February 2, 1907, in Thackerville, the daughter of Thomas and Maggie Stone Beavers. She died Saturday, October 6, 2001, in Renaissance Nursing Home.

Mrs. Lee was a member of the First Baptist Church in Thackerville and The Eastern Star. She and Walter Nim Lee were married October 15, 1930, in Marietta, and he preceded her in death.

Survivors include a son and daughter-in-law, Charles Lyndon and Nora Lee of Lake Kiowa; 11 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; two great-great- grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews; and a sister, Minnie Bell Bryant of Thackerville.

Mrs. Lee was also preceded in death by a daughter, Marie Estelle Morris; a grandson; and two sons, Walter Ray "W.R." Lee and Billy Wayne Lee.

Pallbearers were grandsons Richard Morris, Gary Morris, Chuck Lee, Dennis Lee, Ed Lee, Neal Lee, Derril Lee and Terry Lee.

Interment was in New Rest Haven Cemetery, under the direction of Clement-Keel Funeral Home.
