Services for Woodrow W. Kendall, 89, of Leon, were held at 2 p.m. Saturday, July 12, in the Leon Baptist Church with the Rev. Dwight Hawkins officiating.
Mr. Kendall was born February 27, 1914, at Jimtown, the son of John B. and Lela Barnes Kendall. He died Thursday, July 10, 2003, in Whispering Oaks health care facility, Ardmore.
A resident of Leon all of his life, Mr. Kendall was a farmer and rancher. He and Ola Russell were married September 25, 1943, in Gainesville, Texas, and she preceded him in death on October 3, 2002. Mr. Kendall was a member of the Leon Baptist Church.
Survivors include a daughter and son-in-law, Billie Jo and James Ross of Garland, Texas; five grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Mr. Kendall was also preceded in death by his parents; two sisters and a brother.
Pallbearers were Jim Ross, Jeremy Ross, Richard Ross, David Ross, Kevin Thomas and Johnny Tittle. Honorary pallbearers were Quentin Russell, Dallas "Boog" Taliaferro, Alvie Reed and Don Reed.
Interment was in the Leon Cemetery, under the direction of Flanagan-Watts Funeral Home, Marietta.
