Services for Mattie Hill, 88, were Tuesday at 3:00 p.m. in the Wilkirson-Hatch Funeral Chapel, San Angelo, Texas. Officiating was Rev. David Shttlesworth.
Mrs. Hill was born October 7, 1904, in Indian Territory, and died February 7, 1993, in San Angelo. She married J. L. Hill in 1920 in Gainesville, Texas. The couple moved to Waco, Texas, in 1942. Mrs. Hill had made her home in San Angelo since 1981. A retired clothing manufacturer inspector, she was a member of the First Baptist Church in San Angelo and a former member of Park Lake Drive Baptist Church.
Survivors include two daughters, Juanita Earp of Fort Worth, Texas; and Rena M. Epps of San Angelo; a son, Travis H. Hill of Watauga, Texas; two sisters, Hazel Bond and Noble Bond of Marietta; a brother, Eugene Shurbet of Marietta; six grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
Mrs. Hill was preceded in death by her husband in 1977.
Services were under the direction of the Wilkirson-Hatch Funeral Home with interment in Waco Memorial Park.
