Graveside services for Kenneth L. Hayes, 76, will be Monday at 2:00 p.m. in Lakeview Cemetery. Officiating will be Rev. Roland Luelf, minister of the First United Methodist Church.
Mr. Hayes was born April 27, 1918, in Colleyville, Texas, the son of John Gilbert and Allie Young Owens, and died February 6, 1995, in Yuma, Arizona.
He was a retired manager of Braden Machinery of Wellton, Arizona, for 20 years and of Empire Machinery Company for four years. Mr. Hayes was the past treasurer of the Boy Scouts of Yuma, past member of the Marietta IOOF Lodge, past exalted ruler of Elks Lodge #1906 of Ardmore, past member of Wellton, Arizona Kiwanis Club and past president of Antelope-Wellton Rotary Club. He was also a member of the follow Philatelic Organizations: American Philatelic Society, Rotary on Stamps and American Society for Philatelic Pages and Panels.
He is survived by three sons, Armine Russell of Clinton, Stewart Hayes of Wright City and Larry Hayes of Yuma; a daughter, Kenna Redmon of Ephrata, Washington; a brother, Gil Owens of Beaumont, Texas; a sister, Dana Owens of Eldorado, Texas; 11 grandchildren and several great-grandchildren.
Mr. Hayes was preceded in death by his wife, Billie Marie Hayes, on June 9, 1979.
Services will be under the direction of the Anderson-Kennedy Funeral Home with Larry Hayes, Stewart Hayes, John Wicker and Jim Wicker assisting as pallbearers.
