Services for Kathrine Joy Williams Hamilton, 78, of Carrollton, Texas, were held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, October 22, in the Marietta Church of Christ with Jerry Calvert and John Edgar, Elders of Webb Chapel Church of Christ, officiating.
Mrs. Hamilton was born January 19, 1924, in Marietta, the daughter of J.H. and Agnes Flanagan Williams. She died Saturday, October 19, 2002, in Trinity Medical Center, Carrollton.
She had been a resident of Carrollton for the past nine years, previously making her home in Dallas. She and Malcolm E. Hamilton were married June 1, 1984, in Dallas. Mrs. Hamilton was retired from Mobil Pipleline Company as secretary after 32 years. A longtime member of the Church of Christ, she taught Bible School and conducted visitation programs. Currently, her membership was at Webb Chapel Church of Christ in Farmers Branch, Texas.
Survivors include her husband, Malcolm E. Hamilton of the home; a sister, Frances Williams of Marietta; a stepson and stepdaughter-in-law, Ruel and Dana Hamilton of Plano, Texas; a stepdaughter and stepson-in-law, Brenda and Gilbert Thompson of Grapevine, Texas; six step-grandchildren; and several cousins.
Mrs. Hamilton was preceded in death by her parents; and two brothers, Joe Williams in 1987, and George Wendell Williams in 1927.
Pallbearers were Barry Gantt, Joe Rowe, David McGehee, Don Flanagan, G.W. Flanagan and Jerry Flanagan. Honorary pallbearers were Dale Flanagan, Kenneth Harrison and Carol Wayne Flanagan.
Interment was in Lakeview Cemetery, Marietta, under the direction of Flanagan-Watts Funeral Home, Marietta.
Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.
