Herman O. "Buddy" Hunt III

Services for Herman O. "Buddy" Hunt III, 52, of Thackerville, were held at 6 p.m., Wednesday, August 27, in the House of Prayer, Ardmore, with the Rev. Larry Murray officiating.
Mr. Hunt was born April 8, 1951, in Houston, Texas, the son of Herman O. "Chubby" and Nelma "Jackie" Baker Hunt. He died August 24, 2003, at his residence in Thackerville.
He grew up in Ardmore in the northeast part of town. After graduating from Ardmore High School, he attended East Central University for a time before going to work at Uniroyal, where he worked until his retirement. Mr. Hunt was a member of the House of Prayer and served on the board there. He and Barbara Jane Langston were married on March 24, 1972.
Survivors include his wife, Barbara of the home; two daughters and son-in-law, Kelly McNatt of the home and David, who is serving in Iraq, and Casey Beth Hunt, who is serving in Mozul, Iraq; a son and daughter-in-law, Micah and Amy Hunt of Denton, Texas; two grandchildren, Abby Hunt and Morgan McNatt; his parents, Chubby and Jackie Hunt of Ardmore; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers were Paul Riley, Paul Lott, George Hunt, Larry Gaither, Jon Ricketts and Greg Smith.
Interment was in Hillcrest Memorial Park, Ardmore, under the direction of Harvey-Douglas Funeral Home, Ardmore.
