Memorial services for Carl Cecil Howie, 59, of Ardmore, were held at 2:30 p.m., Thursday, April 17, in the Harvey-Douglas Funeral Chapel, Ardmore, with the Rev. Dan Patman officiating.
Mr. Howie was born September 13, 1943, in Ardmore, the son of Roy B. and Irene Bernice Stubbs. He died Friday, April 11, 2003, in a local nursing facility.
He had been a resident of the Ardmore and Marietta area all of his life. Early in life, Carl spent time welding and doing upholstery work. He was a cutter with the Marietta Pants Factory. Mr. Howie was a former member of Emmanuel Baptist Church.
Survivors include two brothers, Mike Howie of Elmore City and R.E. Howie of Edmond; a sister, Pat Hargis of Ardmore; and several nieces and nephews.
Mr. Howie was preceded in death by his parents; and a nephew.
Services were under the direction of Harvey-Douglas Funeral Home, Ardmore.
