Services for Robert Eldon Flatt, 70, of Cleburne, Texas, were held at 11 a.m. Monday, August 5, in the Leon Baptist Church with the Rev. Jim Edwards officiating.
Mr. Flatt was born October 8, 1931, at Leon, the son of S.V. and Stella Leona Hyman Flatt. He died Thursday, August 1, 2002, in Huguley Hospital, Fort Worth, Texas.
He lived at Leon until he was 17 years old and then made his home in California and Colorado. While he was in Colorado, Mr. Flatt worked as a lineman for the Colorado Electric Company until 1960. At that time, he moved to the Fort Worth area where he lived the remainder of his life. Mr. Flatt was a member of the Parker Baptist Church in Rio Vista, Texas.
Survivors include four brothers, Don Flatt of Pinehurst, North Carolina, Richard Flatt of Heath, Texas, Charlie Flatt of White Settlement, Texas, and Ronnie Flatt of Haltom City, Texas; three sisters, Velma Nabors and Cleta Becker of White Settlement, and Mablene Linthicum of Cleburne; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Mr. Flatt was preceded in death by his parents.
Serving as pallbearers were his nephews. Interment was in the Leon Cemetery, under the direction of Flanagan-Watts Funeral Home, Marietta.
