Services for Robert Adrian Frazier, 77, of Leon, were held at 3 p.m. Saturday, September 22, at Leon Baptist Church with the Rev. Dwight Hawkins and the Rev. David Shue officiating.
Mr. Frazier was born September 23, 1923, in the Batson community in Love County, the son of Hinze and Ada Putnam Frazier. He died Wednesday, September 19, 2001, in Mercy Memorial Health Center in Ardmore.
Mr. Frazier had been a resident of Love County all of his life. He and Edith Katherine Moore were married October 30, 1944, in Gainesville, Texas. Mr. Frazier attended Batson Public School through the eighth grade, then Burneyville Public School for the ninth and 10th grades, and graduated from Leon Public School. He lived in the Rocky Point community one year, then near Burneyville one year, before moving to the Grassburr community south of Leon. Mr. Frazier was a farmer/rancher and was of the Protestant faith.
Survivors include his wife of 57 years, Katherine Frazier of the home; a son and daughter-in-law, George and Pat Thompson of Krum, Texas; a daughter, Faye Blood of Corsicana, Texas; three brothers, Joe Ben Frazier, Mack L. Frazier and Jimmie Frazier of Leon; two sisters, Anna Dean Murr of Oktaha and Linda Hood of Krum; eight grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
Mr. Frazier was preceded in death by his parents; three brothers, Alvin Frazier, Arthur Frazier and Bailey Frazier; and a sister, Addie Lee Billings.
Pallbearers were Truman Patty, Vernon Barrick, Richard Wild, Terry Hyman, Jack Brintle and Mike Morton. Honorary pallbearers were Jack Cain, Snookie Rains, Jimmy Lou Hall, John Wallace McBride, Ott Ladner, Chock Barrick, Sam Barrick, Raymond Self and George M. Hicks Jr.
Interment was in Leon Cemetery, under the direction of Flanagan-Watts Funeral Home, Marietta.
The family has requested that memorial contributions be made to the American Cancer Society c/o Flanagan-Watt Funeral Home, 100 East Main, Marietta, OK 73448.
