Graveside services for Patty Jean Fox, 71, of Courtney, were held at 11 a.m., Tuesday, January 29, at the Rubottom Cemetery with Bro. Joe Heaton officiating.
Mrs. Fox was born November 28, 1930, at Courtney, the daughter of Martin and Florence (Olsobrook) Carnahan. She died Sunday, January 27, 2002, at her residence in Courtney.
She was raised at Courtney and attended school there. Mrs. Fox worked as a homemaker and was a member of the Rubottom Baptist Church. She and James Fox were married Feburary 17, 1946, at Gainesville, Texas.
Survivors include her husband of almost 56 years, James of the home; two sons, Larry Fox of Burneyville, and Ronnie Fox of Burleson, Texas; two granddaughters, Trisha Fox of Courtney, and Mindy Giest of Mustang; a grandson, Clayton James Fox of Burleson; four great-grandchildren, Tristin Giest, Raven Nicole Giest, Molly Fox and Mercedes Fox; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Mrs. Fox was preceded in death by her parents and four brothers, Buren Carnahan, Euell Carnahan, Jimmy Don Carnahan and Benny Frank Carnahan.
Interment was in Rubottom Cemetery, under the direction of Spivey's Reser Funeral Home, Ringling.
