Services for Jack Floyd of Marietta will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday in the Kennedy Funeral Home Chapel. Officiating will be Rev. Tommy Higle and Rev. Judy Gayler.
Born July 9, 1919, in Ardmore, the son of Frank and Flora Irbin Floyd, Mr. Floyd died March 25, 1997, in the Love County Health Center, Marietta, at the age of 77. He had lived in Marietta since 1993, moving here from Fort Worth, Texas. Mr. Floyd was retired from oil field services and was of the First Christian Church belief. He and Vivian Sipes were married March 29, 1951, in Ardmore.
Survivors include a brother, Odell Floyd of Keller, Texas; three sisters, Pat Free of Newton Square, Pennsylvania, Jo Henry of Atlanta, Georgia, and Cecilia Brandenberger of Alameda, California; and several nieces and nephews.
Mr. Floyd was preceded in death by his wife on August 4, 1990; a sister and a brother.
Interment will be in Rose Hill Cemetery, Ardmore, under the direction of Kennedy Funeral Home. Assisting as pallbearers will be James Moffett, Mike Buxton, Jack Drennan, Dick Michael, Bill Shankles and Rod Shankles.
