Graveside services for Callie Hilton Dugger, 97, of Marietta, were held at 10 a.m., Tuesday, July 16, in the Lakeview Cemetery, Marietta, with the Rev. Allen Dorries officiating.
Mrs. Dugger was born March 24, 1905, in the Arbuckle Mountains, Indian Territory, the daughter of James Newton and Melinda Lou Finley Hilton. She died Sunday, July 14, 2002, in Mercy Health Love County Hospital, Marietta.
She was a homemaker and had been a resident of Love County most of her life. Mrs. Dugger lived in California for a time and then returned to Love County to make her home. She and James Martin Dugger were married in 1922 in Love County, and he preceded her in death on December 13, 1974. Mrs. Dugger was of the Pentecostal Holiness faith.
Survivors include a son, J.E. "Cat" Dugger of Marietta; two daughters, Margie Holt of Gainesville, Texas, and Novie Brooks of Ardmore; 16 grandchildren; 33 great-grandchildren; and numerous great-great-grandchildren.
Mrs. Dugger was also preceded in death by her parents; two sons, William Alfred Dugger and Wilburn Lee Dugger; two brothers, Charlie Hilton and Bill Hilton; and four sisters, Annie Elliott, Mary Gray, Nora Grice and Addie Cavitt.
Pallbearers were Lonnie Brooks, Johnny Brooks, Jerry Don Dugger, Ricky Sistrunk, Randy Sistrunk and David Epperley.
Services were under the direction of Flanagan-Watts Funeral Home, Marietta.
