Services for Blanche L. Dean were Wednesday at 2:30 p.m. in the Leon Church of Christ with Mr. Ray Hilliard officiating.

Born December 1, 1909, Bokchito, Mrs. Dean died October 4, 1993, in an Ardmore hospital at the age of 83. She was the daughter of Willie W. and Alice Johnson Strickland.

Mrs. Dean had lived in Love County for 50 years and was a member of the Leon Church of Christ.

She is survived by two brothers, Edward Strickland of Crockett, Texas, and Silas Strickland of Bakersfield, California; three sisters, Essie Reed and Bertha Harris of Leon, and Willie Bearden of Marietta; and several nieces and nephews.

Mrs. Dean was preceded in death by her husband, Ocie Dean, on September 22, 1981.

Services were directed by the Anderson-Kennedy Funeral Home with interment in the Leon Cemetery. Serving as pallbearers were Rocky Bearden, Don Reed, Phil Harris, John Reed, Eldon Dean and Charles Harris.
