Services for Odessa Crockett, 84, of Ardmore, were held at 2 p.m. Saturday, August 25, in the Flanagan-Watts Funeral Home Chapel, Marietta, with Pastor Jody Ham officiating.
Mrs. Crockett was born June 11, 1917, at Boyd, Texas, the daughter of Theodore and Mary Etta Tabner Anderson. She died Tuesday, August 21, 2001, in Mercy Memorial Health Center in Ardmore.
Mrs. Crockett had made her home in Ardmore for the past seven years, previously living in Marietta for 34 years. She and Robert J. "Davey" Crockett were married September 11, 1945, in Gainesville, Texas, and he preceded her in death April 20, 1991. A retired interior decorator, Mrs. Crockett was a member of the Independent Church of Gainesville.
Survivors include three sons, James Crockett of Udall, Kansas, Leonard Crockett of Bixby and Herman Crockett of Oklahoma City; a daughter, Barbara Keener of Ardmore; a brother, Otis Anderson of Oklahoma City; three sisters, Lillie Bryant and Effie Barnes of Bakersfield, California, and Lydia Wicklin of Pauls Valley; 13 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren.
Mrs. Crockett was also preceded in death by her parents; four sons, Ralph Eugene Crockett, Donald Ray Crockett, Albert Joe Crockett and Teddy Dwayne Crockett; three brothers and two sisters.
Serving as pallbearers were grandsons, Travis Keener, Kevin Keener, John Crockett and Mike Crockett.
Interment was in Lakeview Cemetery, Marietta, under the direction of Flanagan-Watts Funeral Home.
