Services for Mary E. Curry, 74, of Denison, Texas, were held at 1 p.m. Friday, September 5, at East Baptist Church, Denison, with Brett E. Castle officiating.
Mrs. Curry was born March 28, 1929, in Marietta, the daughter of Alfred A. and Myrtle L. Mayes Martin. She died September 2, 2003, at Texoma Medical Center in Denison.
Mrs. Curry attended Marietta High School. She and Richard Curry were married July 13, 1950, in Gainesville, Texas. He preceded her in death. Mrs. Curry was a member of East Baptist Church and a member of Gold Star Wives of America, Inc.
Survivors include two daughters and son-in-law, Deborah and Terry Cozby of Desdemona, Texas and Marilyn Sue Curry of Denison; a son, James Edward Curry of Killeen, Texas; a daughter-in-law, Margaret Manning of Denison; four grand-children, Rebecca Ann Curry and Joshua L. and Candace Curry of Sherman, Texas, Molly Ann and Terry Richardson of Plano, Texas and Mark Edward Curry of Arlington, Texas; a great-grandson, Austin Curry of Sherman; a sister and brother-in-law, Marie and Johnny Hood of Marietta; four brothers and sisters-in-law, Buddy and Marcie Martin of Gainesville, Fred and Mahota Martin of Ardmore, Cecil Martin of Marietta and Boyd and Donna Martin of Marietta; and many nieces and nephews.
Mrs. Curry was also preceded in death by her parents; and a son, Kenneth Wayne Curry.
Pallbearers were members of East Baptist Church.
Interment was at 3 p.m., Friday, at Lakeview Cemetery, Marietta, under the direction of Bratcher Funeral Home, Denison.
