Services for Marilyn Ann Cavitt, 56, of Marietta, were held at 11 a.m. Monday, February 18, at Marietta's First Baptist Curch with Bro. Chris Webb officiating.
Mrs. Cavitt was born September 8, 1945, in Marietta, the daughter of George Austin and Effie Lorene Walker Hearrell. She died Wednesday, February 13, 2002, in Mercy Health Love County.
Mrs. Cavitt had been a resident of Love County all of her life. She and Bobby G. Cavitt were married October 9, 1978, in Gainesville, Texas, and he preceded her in death on April 7, 1998. A Certified Nurse Aide, Mrs. Cavitt had been employed at Lake Country Manor Nursing Home in Marietta for many years. She was a member of Marietta's First Baptist Church.
Survivors include a son and daughter-in-law, Landon Len and Danna Gregg of Wylie, Texas; three daughters and sons-in-law, Melinda and Donald Pitts of Marietta, Melanie and Darrell Maggard of Thackerville, and Hattie Klein of Healdton; a brother and sister-in-law, Kenneth and Martha Hearrell of Marietta; a special cousin, Imogene Palmer of Leon; eight grandchildren, Kecia Pitts, Jimmy Pitts, Markus Pitts, Bo Pershica, Crystal Maggard, Kaci Maggard, Awstin Gregg and Alex Gregg; three step-grandchildren, David McMahon, Lucas McMahon and Amanda McMahon; and four great-grandchildren, Tony James, Kayla Loveday, Seth Pitts and Payton Pitts.
Mrs. Cavitt was also preceded in death by her parents; and an infant twin brother and sister.
Pallbearers were Brent Goodwin, Bert Tickle, James Hume, Jerry Putnam, Lonnie Cavitt and Roy Gregg. Honorary pallbearers were Ray Grice, Donald Pitts, Jimmy Pitts, Dr. Tom O'Connor, Cross Timbers Hospice, Lake Country Manor Nursing Home staff and Mercy Health Love County staff.
Interment was in the Burneyville Cemetery, under the direction of Flanagan-Watts Funeral Home, Marietta.
