Graveside services for Floyd L. “Bud” Conaway, Jr. were at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday in Lakeview Cemetery with Rev. Wilbur Mix officiating.
Born May 10, 1922, in Topeka, Kansas, Mr. Conaway died August 30, 1992, in the Love County Health Center, Marietta, at the age of 70. He was the son of Floyd and Sara Conley Conaway.
A retired businessman, Mr. Conaway had made his home in Marietta for 16 years, moving here from Kansas. He was a veteran of World War II serving with the Coast Guard, and a charter member of the Lenexa, Kansas V.F.W. Mr. Conaway was a member of the First Christian Church in Shawnee, Kansas.
Survivors include a sister and brother-in-law, Connie and Kenneth Riley of Marietta; two nieces, Marilyn Dean and Kathy Grotte; and two nephews, Ken Conaway and Jim Conaway.
Mr. Conaway was preceded in death by a brother, Bill Conaway, in 1973.
Arrangements were under the direction of the Anderson-Kennedy Funeral Home.
