Graveside services for E. Lee Craft, 68, were at 2:00 p.m. Thursday in Mt. Zion Cemetery, Thackerville. Officiating was Mr. Murray McMurray, Thackerville Church of Christ minister.
Born January 17, 1925, in Johnston County, the son of Abe and Pecolia Sampson Craft, Mr. Craft died February 16, 1993, at his home in Thackerville. A resident of Love County most of his life, he was a truck driver and a mechanic. Mr. Craft was raised by his grandparents and aunts. He married the former Etheline Jones May 9, 1941, in Marietta.
He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Etheline Craft of the home; two sons, Kenny Craft and Jimmy Craft of Thackerville; three daughters, Gracie Rains and Betty Sprouse of Thackerville, and Martha Beaman of Marietta; a sister, Velester Cain of Thackerville; three aunts, Pashy Rains and Irene Wolfe of Thackerville, and Geneva Webb of Oklahoma City; 11 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.
Mr. Craft was preceded in death by a great-grandson, Shawn Marshal Johnson on August 31, 1988.
Services were under the direction of the Anderson-Kennedy Funeral Home. Assisting as honorary pallbearers were Tim Rains, Chad Rains, David Lee Craft, Robert Sprouse, Mark Beaman, and Greg Beaman.
